Inter-America’s Health Food Company seeks to increase financial support for the church

Top managers of the Inter-American Health Food Company laid out plans and strategies to promote healthy foods and increase its monetary contribution toward the mission of the church across the territory, during its year-end board meeting held in Miami, Florida, on Oct. 25, 2016.

“We want the Health Food Company to be an indispensable tool in the fulfillment of the mission in the territory where it operates,” said Filiberto Verduzco, treasurer of the church in Inter-America and president of Inter-American Health Food Company (IAHFC).

Hurricane Matthew leaves death and destruction in the Caribbean

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America is still in the process of assessing the damaging effects of Hurricane Matthew which tore through Haiti, Cuba, and The Bahamas this week.

No deaths among Seventh-day Adventists have been reported yet, said Pastor Israel Leito, president of the church in Inter-America, who has been in daily telephone contact with top leaders in Haiti, Cuba, and The Bahamas as well as several other Caribbean islands.

Adventist Church organizes upcoming Global Public Campus Ministries Weekend

The Seventh-day Adventist Church around the world will mobilize thousands of its Adventist students who study in public campuses and professionals during a special weekend event coined as Global Public Campus Ministries (PCM) Weekend, October 14-16, 2016.

The Global PCM Weekend aims to connect and involve students, academic and professionals in mission and service in their universities, home churches, and communities. It is the first time such joint event is organized by PCM Ministries around the world church.

Inter-America’s Health Food Company launches new wellness magazine

The Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Inter-American Health Food Company (IAHFC) launched a new magazine last week designed to promote a healthy lifestyle among church leaders and members across the territory.

The 28-page magazine, called “+Wellness,” is the first one ever published by IAHFC and the church’s health food ministry department and was distributed to church members, health food company managers and employees, institutions and clients across eight countries, said Ramon Adolfo Ruiz, health food ministry director for the church in Inter-America and editor of the publication.

Inter-America officially launches its three new Adventist television channels

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America officially launched its three new television channels yesterday during a special program held at the church’s headquarter office in Miami, Florida, United States.

Officials from General Conference’s Hope Channel and top Inter-American Division (IAD) leaders took part in the special one-hour ceremony that saw Hope Channel Inter-America air its English, Spanish and French channels on satellite, the web and on Roku.

Hope Channel Inter-America to officially launch September 15

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Inter-American Division (IAD) will officially launch its three new television channels with a special ceremony scheduled on Sep. 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in Miami, Florida.

The one-hour ceremony will feature officials from the General Conference’s Hope Channel and top IAD leaders and board members who will witness the historic moment when Hope Channel Inter-America’s Hope Channel in English, Esperanza TV in Spanish, and Esperance TV in French will air via satellite, on the web and on Roku.

In Inter-America, ASI Convention challenges members to connect, empower and transform lives

Seventh-day Adventist business owners and professionals from across the Inter-American Division (IAD) were challenged to connect, empower and transform their lives and those around them as the Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASi) concluded its annual convention in Medellin, Colombia, Aug. 20, 2016.

Some 350 Adventist professionals and church leaders networked together, renewed their commitment to sharing Christ through their businesses, and reaffirmed their passion to fulfill the mission of the church, during the four-day conference held at Colombia’s Adventist University campus.

ASi Inter-America opens annual convention challenging members to connect more with the mission of the church

Inter-America’s 15th Annual Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASi) Convention opened last night encouraging its Adventist professionals, business owners and today’s generation of creative professionals in the church move forward with the mission of the church.

Hundreds gathered at Colombia’s Adventist University in Medellin, during the opening ceremony, which was streamed live online, and included government officials, church leaders and guest speakers, to set the tone of the four-day event.

Inter-America’s 15th Annual ASi Convention to open in North Colombia

Seventh-day Adventist business owners and professionals from across Inter-America will meet for this year’s Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASi) Convention in Medellin, Colombia, August 17-20, 2016.

The 15th annual event themed “Connected, Empowered, and Transformed,” promises to inspire ASi chapter members and attendees to reaffirm their commitment of sharing Christ in their businesses and invite other professionals to join in support of the mission of the church.

IATS grants President Emeritus title to Jaime Castrejon

The Inter-American Adventist Theological Seminary Board named Dr. Jaime Castrejon as its President Emeritus during a special ceremony held in Montemorelos University in North Mexico, this past weekend.

Dr. Castrejon, who retired as being IATS president last year, was granted the title and a golden cord for his long leadership in thelogical education and his contribution in ministerial training throughout the Inter-American Division (IAD) for decades.
