Thousands of Seventh-day Adventist young people from across Inter-America went into their communities and cities to spread kindness, compassion and hope on Mar. 19, 2016, as millions more young people around the world church celebrated the annual Global Youth Day.
Thousands of Seventh-day Adventist young people from around the world will step out into their neighborhoods and communities on Sabbath, March 19, 2016, to engage in spreading kindness, compassion and hope.
The annual special day coined as Global Youth Day, is sponsored by the General Conference’s youth ministries department and motivates young people to get out of their comfort zones to “Be the Sermon” as they show the love of Jesus in their communities.
Top Seventh-day Adventist leaders from across Inter-America’s 24 major church regions met last week to assess the behavior and management of incoming funds, review the growth these funds brought the church during the last 20 years, and reaffirm their commitment to sound spiritual leadership as good stewards of God’s resources during the next five years.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America officially launched its key strategic plans for Public Campus Ministries during a territory-wide congress of more than 700 university students, professionals and church leaders in Havana, Cuba, Dec. 18-21, 2015.

Seventh-day Adventist leaders and office staff at the Inter-American Division (IAD) Headquarters met to welcome the year with a special worship service on Jan 5, to reflect on the blessings 2015 brought and set their sights on the plans and activities that will set the tone throughout the church territory for the next five years.
The more than 80 ministers and staff members at the IAD Office in Miami, Florida, took the time to pray, commit their efforts to the church and its mission and review the financial progress in the vast territory.
Adventist healthcare leaders across the Inter-American Division (IAD) reported on their institutions’ accomplishments during the last five-year period and outlined development plans for the coming years during last month’s Adventist Healthcare Service – Inter-America (AHS-IA) board meetings in Miami, Florida.
AHS-IA was established in 2010 in association with Adventist Health International with headquarters at Loma Linda University, in California, said Elie S. Honore, M.D., president of AHS-IA.
Inter-America’s Public Campus Ministries will officially launch its strategic plans for the next five years by gathering over 600 leaders and delegates across the territory in Cuba this month. The event will be the first of its kind to serve as a training congress to dozens of local field leaders, university students and professionals from across the Inter-American Division (IAD) in Havana, the island’s capital city on Dec. 17-22, 2015.
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in the Inter-American Division (IAD) celebrated its progress across the church territory during a recent board meeting to close the previous five-year period.
Top Seventh-day Adventist leaders praised the work of ADRA Inter-America and its outgoing director, Wally Amundson, for being instrumental in the 14-year-long partnership with the North American Division’s (NAD) ingathering program, Hope for Humanity, to advance literacy.
A recent survey conducted by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Inter-American Division (IAD) revealed that there are less church members attending Sabbath School classes and less of those members studying Sabbath School bible guides every week.
The main purpose of the survey research was to examine issues affecting nurturing, evangelism, mission, programming and equipping the Sabbath School in the IAD.
Inter-American Division’s Health Food Company Board members thanked long-time director Joel Zukovski for his outstanding leadership during the last 27 years.
