The General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (GC) has reaffirmed its longstanding commitment to making investments consistent wth its ethical and fiduciary commitments.
The GC Corporation Board—the property holding body of the General Conference—met on March 20, 2018 to review and refine current investment practices of the General Conference.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America will hold its annual baptismal celebration this Sabbath with a special online event from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The live event, coined as “Lord Transform Me”, will highlight the culmination of evangelistic efforts so far this year by thousands of pastors and active church members in the country and all across the Inter-American Division (IAD) territory.
More than 8,000 are expected to crowd the Sylvio Cator Stadium in the capital city. Another four sites across the Haitian Union will hold hundreds more baptisms on the same day. Thousands more are expected to attend those events.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Guyana recently celebrated historic evangelism efforts which brought more than 1,400 new believers into the church. Guyana, which belongs to the the Caribbean Union, is located on the northern mainland of South America.
Some 5,000 church members and friends met at the National Exhibition Center in Georgetown, on Mar. 17, to witness 101 new believers get baptized into the church, during the conclusion of dozens of evangelistic campaigns held for over a week. The effort was coined as Impact Guyana 2018.

Dozens of administrators, pastors and lay preachers from the Seventh-day Adventist Church throughout the Inter-American Division (IAD) met during a two-day summit to review evangelism practices and set new strategies to reach more people with the gospel. Called the Best Practices Summit on Evangelism and Retention, the event brought more than 130 leaders to Miami, Florida, Mar. 28-29, 2018.

We have all been there.
You listen, watch, or read a compelling report about the beneficial properties of a specific nutrition option on a respected media outlet. The report’s claims — it is emphasized — are backed by the latest science. You find yourself agreeing with what you see or hear—you are, so to say, ‘talked into it.’ As a ‘new convert,’ you go out immediately to purchase the advertised panacea fruit, vegetable, grain, or oil. Barely a few days later, however, you come across another health report on the nutrition item in question.

One year after launching its community mobile clinic on March 30, 2017, the Three Angels Pharmacy celebrated its first anniversary with a free health fair.
The celebration, which was geared towards giving thanks to God, volunteers, sponsors and well wishers, was held at the pharmacy’s location on Caledonia Road in Mandeville, Jamaica.

Top Seventh-day Adventist administrators and board members of the Inter-American Division (IAD) Executive Committee concluded its church business meetings this week with a commitment to expand the church further and with a vote of gratitude for the visionary leadership of Pastor Israel Leito. Pastor Leito served as president in the IAD for over 24 years. The two-day meetings ended on mar. 27, 2018, at the IAD Headquarters in Miami, Florida.

Thousands of Seventh-day Adventists in Chiapas, Mexico, welcomed Adventist World Church President Ted N.C. Wilson on Mar. 24, 2018, during a special celebration to highlight the ongoing service young people are providing in their cities and communities this year. The regional initiative is coined as “Jesus in my City” where young people are encouraged to shine the light of Jesus through acts of kindness and outreach activities.

Thousands of Seventh-day Adventist churches across the globe will be collecting the end-of-the-quarter special offering this Sabbath, Mar. 31, to fund specific projects that grow the church in tangible ways. The Thirteenth Sabbath Offering will benefit three main projects across the church in the Inter-American Division (IAD) territory in Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico and Mexico.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Chiapas, Mexico, is helping victims of religious intolerance after four families were forced out of their homes by locals in the San Miguel Chiptip Community in Chiapas.
Agustin Alvarez, a baptized member and three other men were expelled from their communities on Mar. 15 after attending an evangelistic campaign in another community. Their wives and children were forced to stay in the Chiptip, according to Pastor Ignacio Navarro, president of the church in Chiapas.
