A Germanwings Airbus A320 plane carrying 150 people crashed March 24 in the foothills near Digne-les-Bains, in the Alpes de Haute Provence in southeastern France, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls told reporters.
Valls said he fears those aboard the flight from Barcelona (Spain), to Dusseldorf (Germany) may be dead. French President Francois Hollande also said no survivors were expected. „The conditions of the accident are not yet clear but lead us to believe there will be no survivors,” Hollande said.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church said Tuesday that two Adventists were detained in Bangladesh on unclear charges.
They have been released from custody ahead of a court hearing, church spokesman Garrett Caldwell said.

Thousands of Seventh-day Adventists in Medellin, Colombia, brought a smile, hope, and a health message to more than 80,000 people during a city-wide impact initiative held on Mar. 14, 2015.
The activity, coined as “A Smile for Medellin”, saw hundreds of students and faculty from Colombia Adventist University joined by thousands of church members eager to make the 2.1 million-populous-city, the happiest city in Colombia, organizers said.

Seventh-day Adventist believers worldwide will soon begin praying for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the upcoming General Conference session as part of a call to spiritual renewal and preparation for the coming of Jesus.
The 100 Days of Prayer program, which starts on March 25, aims to fulfill a plan that Adventist Church cofounder Ellen G. White said God was unable to realize for the church at the 1901 General Conference session in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Colombia Adventist University is looking to relocate its campus from Medellin because of heavy taxes, but the pending move has not disrupted its strong mission outreach program, with hundreds of students sharing Jesus in the bustling city and showing interest in working abroad.
Colombia itself has become a haven of religious freedom, a fact celebrated by Adventist Church leaders at a weekend conference of 5,000 people.

The Adventist Church’s newly formed Panama Union Mission announced that 2,530 people have been baptized since January as the result of a major evangelistic series.
The baptisms underscored a commitment by the local church to prepare people for Jesus’ return and provided a moment of nostalgia for visiting Adventist Church leader Ted N.C. Wilson, who was reminded that his father had led an evangelistic series 31 years earlier in Panama.

A vegetarian diet may reduce your risk of certain kinds of cancer by 22 percent, according to a new analysis from the Adventist Health Study-2.
Researchers at Loma Linda University Health found that eating a plant-based diet offers significant protection against cancers of the colon and rectum, the second-leading cause of cancer death in the United States after lung cancer.
